Common Cents

Last week…

Equities had a great week!

All US Equities soared up. When we say “soared”, we mean it. Remember last Common Cents we mentioned growth was down further than value? That means they have more ground to make up…and make up they did:

• Large Growth was up over 7%
• Mid Growth almost 7% at 6.83%
• Small Growth was up 6.3%

US Value companies weren’t far behind with Small Value showing the least growth at over 3.5%. US REITS and Global REITS were up about the same over 2%.

As we see gas prices slowly creeping down, we’re seeing Commodities losing a little steam. Commodities were down over 3% last week.

Foreign Equities showed strong growth as well with Growth companies again outperforming the rest gaining nearly 6%. Even Emerging Markets were up over 3%.

Bonds were pretty boring as usual. The standout last week was Emerging Market Bonds. They have been suffering this year, but showed some life with a gain of almost 3%.

Have a great weekend!
