Last week…was another drab week for most equities.

All US Equities were down.  Large companies took a bigger hit than Mid and Small. There wasn’t an identifiable pattern between the impact on growth companies vs. values or market cap size. Meaning, everything was down and it was all over the place.

US REITS were down. It seems the housing market is finally cooling off and the evidence can be seen in your neighborhood. Certainly, we are noticing houses remaining on the market a little bit longer than they were just two months ago. Rising interest rates take at least partial credit for this.

Commodities were up along with Emerging Markets.

Foreign equities were also down but not nearly to the extent of US Equities.

Bonds barely budged in either direction, but we did see two up from last week – US TIPS and Emerging Market Bonds.  Hey, we’ll take the positives where can!
