Last week…
…most equities blew off some steam.
All U.S. equities were down from 0.13 (Health Care) to over 6% in Small Growth. Large companies were down the least while small companies were down the most. Mid companies hung out in the mid-dle (See what we did there?). There was no clear pattern trending between growth and value.
US Reits, Commodities and Emerging Markets were the only Equities that were up from the previous week. We have a new leading asset class YTD return of 26.13 – US REITS. And the week to week biggest performer was Emerging Markets, gaining a bit over 1.75. Foreign Equities were all down, but notably significantly less than the US downturn.
Bonds barely bubbled yet again . TIPS gained nearly 1% from the previous week making it the brightest performer. Foreign Bonds and Emerging Market Bonds were also up, continuing their trend from last week. Short Term Bonds and High Yields were down but barely.
Have a great weekend!
