…was not as awe inspiring as the previous week.
Half of US Equities let off a little steam. It’s like when you’re cooking pasta on the stovetop. The water reaches a boil, the pasta is added, but sometimes some of the water bubbles over because there’s too much heat. With so much heat in the market as reported last week, we noted some US equities released and were down slightly last week. But the market is still boiling and still bringing the heat. Large Value, Mid Value, Technology and Health Care were all up from the previous week. Large, Mid and Small Growth were down as well as Small Value. Technology has taken the YTD lead with over 35% returns.
US and Global REITS were both down, while Commodities inched forward.
Foreign Equities were all down, but again, just slightly, all showing a double digit positive YTD return.
Emerging Markets continued their trend alternating between YTD returns in the red and black. This week they are back in black.
All bonds were down from the last week, except for TIPS. TIPS are showing a solid YTD return of over 6%.
Have a great weekend!
