US Indexes were mixed
The DOW and S&P were up: +1.88% and +0.85% but …
Large, Mid, and Small Cap Growth all lost ground: between -4.74% and -1.74%
Small Cap Value continued its streak in other direction, up 4.83% on the week and standing just below 19% YTD!
This is as topsy turvy as we’ve ever seen US equity classes with Small Value Companies trouncing Large Growth by 21% in the first 9 weeks.
US REITIS were down this time nearly a point
Foreign REITS were down -1.40%
Commodities continued recovering – potentially from a ten year bear market
+0.75% on the week and +10.01% YTD
As for Foreign Stocks
The Growth and Value divergence widened further although, not as much as in US Stocks
Value +1.16% and Growth -2.17%
All Bonds are officially blighted!
High Yield Bonds are the only one still positive for the year and only just 0.54% YTD
Everything that bounced back the best last year is now far behind those that fared the worst… and everything that couldn’t overcome the Covid Cloud last year is now far in advance of those now trailing. Perhaps 2021 will prove to be the ‘Side B’ to 2020.
