Last Week…

“What the market giveth, the market will taketh away” – that’s the theme this week.

Nearly all asset classes both equity and fixed income were down. U.S. Large Growth and Technology were the only two up from the previous week.

And the Growth-Value teeter totter reversed placed once again switched. U.S. value companies have been doing amazing this year, outperforming Growth across the board. It came as no surprise that Value took the biggest hit this previous week losing from nearly 5% (large value) to over 8%(small value).  The biggest weekly loss came from Small Value, which again, is the one class that has performed best YTD.

But don’t worry, everything is still up significantly YTD with all but Mid Growth and Small Growth companies showing double digit returns.

Taking a look at REITS, Commodities, Foreign Equities and Emerging Markets tells the same tale as the U.S.

Yet again, bonds blundered.

Have a great weekend!
