US Equities experienced the biggest rebound, gaining back more than they lost from the prior week.
The infamous Growth-Value teeter totter switched this week with Growth outperforming Value.
Small Companies took the cake this week with Growth & Value both gaining over 5%
As illustrated in the graph, Large Growth had its largest recent weekly gain of over 2%.
The graph further illustrates an interesting stat – Large Growth companies have remained true and steady the previous four weeks, while the rest of US Equities have experienced some volatility. The volatility from week to week can be seen in Foreign Equities as well. Foreign Equities didn’t bounce back as much as its US counterparts but all were up nearly 2% or more.
Commodities were our stand out with a gain over 6.6% from the previous week. Emerging Markets were up over 4%, pulling them out of the red for a 0% return YTD.
Bonds were yet again boring. Bonds have been boring us for months now. It has been10 weeks..TEN WEEKS….since any bond asset class has moved 1% either positive or negative. For the week ending June 18th, Foreign bonds were down 1.92%. Since June, bonds have been set to simmer.
Have a great weekend!
